UKC Performance Program
In the wake of more recent and widely accepted new programs offering similar benefits, the effectiveness of the Performance Rewards Program has dwindled, and the decision has been made to discontinue the program, effective April 7, 2025.
The Hunters and Breeders Performance Rewards Program benefits competition hunters, coonhound breeders and local coon clubs. The hunters can earn cash rewards to help pay for their hobby while also earning money for the breeders, and increasing the entries at the local club level. How do you earn points at a hunt? Eligibility for UKC Performance Rewards Program
To be eligible for lifetime participation in the UKC Hunters and Breeders Performance Rewards Program (hereinafter referred to as the Performance Program), a pup must be:
- Any UKC litter registered Coonhound;
- Sired by a Performance Sire nominated for the calendar year in which the pup was whelped;
- Part of a UKC registered litter that was nominated on or before one year of age;
- Permanently nominated on or before one year of age.
Steps Involved
- Nominate a Performance Sire
- Breed to a Performance Sire
- Nominate the litter
- Permanent register & nominate the individual dogs
- Go to UKC Licensed Nite Hunt events to earn Performance Points
Deadline & Fee Schedule
Performance Sire Nomination Deadline and Fee Schedule
- If a Performance Sire nomination is postmarked before January 1 of the nomination year the nomination fee is $100.
- If a Performance Sire nomination is postmarked on or after January 1 through June 30 of the nomination year, the nomination fee is $200.
- If a Performance Sire nomination is postmarked on or after July 1 through December 31 of the nomination year, the nomination fee is $300.
Litter Nomination Deadlines and Fee Schedule
- If the Litter Nomination is postmarked on or before the litter is six months of age, the Litter Nomination fee is $30.
- If the Litter Nomination is postmarked after the litter is six months of age, but on or before the litter turns one year of age, the Litter Nomination fee is $50.
- Litter Nomination with all pups being Permanently Nominated at time of Litter Registration is $150. Application must be postmarked on or before the litter turns six months of age.
Permanent Nomination Deadlines and Fee Schedule
- If the Permanent Nomination is postmarked on or before the dog is six months of age the nomination fee is $30.
- If the Permanent Nomination if postmarked after the dog is six months of age, but on or before one year of age, the nomination fee is $100.
Determination of Dates
The Sire, Litter, and Permanent Nominations become effective on the date they are received by UKC. The postmark date will be used to determine eligibility and the nomination fee owed in accordance with the appropriate fee schedule for the Sire, Litter, and Permanent Nominations. The date the nomination is received by UKC will also be used to determine the owner(s)/Signatory of the dog on record.
Fees
- All fees must be payable in US Funds.
- A fee of $30 will be assessed for checks returned to UKC as unpaid for any reason. No further business will be conducted with UKC until the check and fee(s) are paid. Payment should be in the form of a money order, MasterCard, or Visa.
- Performance Program Payout Checks earned by an individual(s) with an outstanding balance due to UKC will be held until the outstanding balance has been settled.
- All payout money will be made in US Funds.
