A guide for novice handlers to learn the basics of beginning to show your dog!

December 1, 2021

Department: UKC All-Breed Sports
Email: juniors@ukcdogs.com

UKC is pleased to offer a new tool for Junior Handlers. This handbook guides novice handlers through the basics of beginning to show your dog. A helpful glossary of canine anatomy terms makes this a great ringside resource.

Interested handlers can sign up for a UKC Junior ID number with this Application for UKC Junior Membership.

Please note that children are not required to have an ID number to participate in UKC-licensed events!

Any questions can be sent to us at juniors@ukcdogs.com.

Thank you and have a happy holiday season!

Guided by the belief that dogs make a difference by being the best partner a human can have in the field, on the job, or in a competition event, UKC is a community for people and dogs to pursue excellence together. Founded in 1898, UKC has been dedicated to enhancing the lives of Dogs That Do More, and their owners, by providing essential resources to help owners and breeders make informed decisions. The dog-human bond is celebrated through family-friendly programs highlighting the instincts and heritage of purebred and mixed-breed dogs alike at over 15,000 licensed events annually.
