UKC Elite Awards are Presented by Bone Clone

The United Kennel Club applauds each of the following nominees being recognized this quarter. Their support, dedication, and contributions to the UKC Elite Shed Dog Program is greatly appreciated. The sport is most certainly better served because of them.

Ambassador Of The Year Nominee

The ambassador of the year is a unique award because there is no metric used to calculate who was the most involved or helpful over the past three months. If somehow we did quantify this award, we would have a tie between countless people every quarter. This sport is driven forward by the welcoming, respectful, and helpful nature of all the participants. Ambassadors and nominees, past, present, and future, should hold themselves to a higher standard and be role models for new and existing members.

"Although David is a highly respected competitor, judge and trainer, he always is willing to help others any way he can. David has always been welcoming as well as encouraging to anyone he encounters at events. He has traveled to many states to help out clubs who ask him to help judge at their events. Often he won't even run a dog himself, leaving his wife, Tonya to run the family dogs. David is always fair and has a kind word for every handler. I believe he earned a lot of respect from many of us when his 5 year old twins, Oakley and Taytum ran dogs in the Youth class on their own with no mentor out there to guide them. The entire Larson family including 3 year old, Hadley are an asset to the sport and are an inspiration to those who take the time to get to know them."
