UKC Elite Shed Dog Series Policy Change

Effective January 1, 2021

December 28, 2020

Email: huntingops@ukcdogs.com

Due to the increasing popularity and success of the 3-day event structure, the rule limiting clubs to four event days per year no longer makes sense.

Beginning January 1, 2021, clubs will now be allowed to hold six event dates per year. This will give clubs the option of holding two, 3-day events per year, or, three 2-day events per year.

Host / Club Information item 2 will be changed to read:
2. A host/club is limited to six (6) licensed events during any calendar year.

As a reminder, the reason event dates are limited is to protect the integrity of the ESDS championship degrees. Event hosts are encouraged to contact Field Operations at United Kennel Club for date availability and scheduling.

Guided by the belief that dogs make a difference by being the best partner a human can have in the field, on the job, or in a competition event, UKC is a community for people and dogs to pursue excellence together. Founded in 1898, UKC has been dedicated to enhancing the lives of Dogs That Do More, and their owners, by providing essential resources to help owners and breeders make informed decisions. The dog-human bond is celebrated through family-friendly programs highlighting the instincts and heritage of purebred and mixed-breed dogs alike at over 15,000 licensed events annually.
