2021 Changes for UKC All-Breed Sports Events & Clubs

October 20, 2020

Email: allbreedsports@ukcdogs.com

UKC All-Breed Event Support Team
UKC has created an All-Breed Event Support Team (ABEST). This exciting development will allocate additional resources to events needing a helping hand. Beginning in 2021, designated ABEST members will provide assistance to UKC clubs and offer support at UKC-licensed events. United Kennel Club staff or official representing UKCs ABEST group will attend six club-hosted events each year to offer hands-on support such as:

  • helping with event paperwork
  • processing day of show entries
  • answering rule- or policy-related questions
  • hosting relevant seminars

UKC will select events to visit each year based on past event attendance and the experience of the club, among other factors. The hard work our clubs do to put on excellent events is immensely appreciated, and we want to do our part to make running events easier. We are excited to continue building strong relationships with our clubs, judges, and exhibitors and to make our events better than ever!

Event Service Fee
UKC will no longer charge recording fees. To account for increasing expenses and to provide additional services to UKC clubs and programs, a per-entry fee will be charged for all events beginning on January 1, 2021. All events scheduled on the UKC Events Calendar prior to January 1 will be assessed the current fees. The event service fee must be paid upon submitting the official event results to UKC. Alterations to existing licensing fees will accompany this change, and scheduling late fees will no longer be charged.

In addition to record keeping, the event service fees will fund new programs such as the All-Breed Event Support Team, which will offer hands-on assistance to UKC clubs and judges at events. Questions or concerns regarding event service fees can be sent to the All-Breed Sports department at allbreedsports@ukcdogs.com
Like licensing fees, the value of the event service fee will vary based on event type.
