Notice: Extended Deadline for UKC Conformation Judges Tests

September 8, 2017

Email: judges@ukcdogs.com

Dear UKC Conformation Judges,

UKC Show Operations notified all judges on May 1, 2017 of the new judge's education program. Read the original notice.

What this means is that for all currently licensed conformation judges (US, Canada and Italy), regardless if you have taken a previous UKC judges seminar or if your license has yet to expire, are now required to request (and pass) the new conformation judge's test in order to remain an active and licensed UKC conformation judge, starting in January 2018.

On August 18, 2017, a reminder email of the impending deadline of September 1, 2017, was sent to those judges who had not yet requested or returned their test to do so by the deadline date of September 1, 2017.

However, due to extenuating circumstances, several judges have requested an extension on the deadline date. As such, the UKC Show Operations Department will also extend this deadline to all judges who have not yet requested to take the conformation test or any judge who has failed their initial test.

Please contact UKC immediately. You may email your request, and must provide the following information:

a. Your name
b. Mailing address
c. Telephone number
d. Cell phone number
e. Working AND Valid email address*

(*All UKC licensed Judges are now required to have a valid and working email address.)

Upon UKC receiving your emailed information and request for the new conformation test (or retest), you will receive the testing materials via email as an attachment.

The completed test must be returned to UKC Show Operations by the new, extended deadline of Friday, September 15, 2017. The test may be scanned and emailed, faxed, or if necessary, sent by overnight mail delivery.

No further extensions will be granted and any judge who does not returned the test or who should happen to fail the test will no longer be approved to judge any UKC conformation events and may not request to re-take the test for 12 months. Any assignments for t he remainder of 2017 will not be affected by a failing score or a failure to complete the test.

Lastly, if you have decided not to renew your conformation judge's license, please email us.
