Autumn Oaks Coonhound Event Takes Place Labor Day Weekend in Richmond, Indiana

The Event Where History Is Made

August 27, 2018

United Kennel Club welcomes coonhound enthusiasts to the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Richmond, Indiana, over Labor Day Weekend where hundreds of the countrys best coonhounds will compete, August 30 - September 2, in UKC's 59th Annual Autumn Oaks event.

Autumn Oaks

Annually since 1960, Autumn Oaks is a weekend of good friends, good dogs, and good times. Keep up with all the action, or share your event photo on social media, by using the #autumnoaks2018 hashtag.

Autumn Oaks, which began in 1960, has grown to be one of the top three largest coonhound events featured on the UKC licensed event calendar. Serving as the second leg of the Triple Crown Series, sponsored by Black Gold Dog Foods, it is truly a premier Coonhound event, as well as a kind of annual celebration. During the four days of world-class competition, thousands of spectators and participants travel from all over the United States and Canada to east-central Indiana to attend "The Event Where History is Made." Participants compete for prizes provided by event sponsors, as well as prestige and national recognition, as Major Winners receive national titles and acclaim. New this year: the UKC Total Dog Challenge, where a National Dual Championship degree will be awarded.

The coonhound community is proud to offer this family-friendly event. Nationally recognized vendors will be on-hand offering dog and pet products to fill every need!

Spectators are welcome and are asked to leave their pets at home. Admission for Friday and Saturday is $5 per vehicle for the weekend for parking on the grounds, payable at the main entrance gate. Alternatively, walk-ins from the Salisbury Road entrance can access the event grounds for $2 per person or $5 per family.
