2025 HRC Rulebook Update and Correction Notice

The 2025 HRC Rulebook, effective January 1, 2025, can be viewed online at any time. The HRC rules committee made necessary corrections to the printed version during the 2025 HRC Board of Directors meeting. This notice explaining the corrections is to be considered an official notice and must be used in conjunction with the printed rulebook.

The following corrections have been made to the online PDF, but they do not appear in the print version:

Page 7, 44, 48, 50 FINISHED ENTRIES
In the printed version, it states Finished - entries not to exceed 30 dogs per flight.
The digital version has been corrected to state Finished - entries not to exceed 40 dogs per flight.

Page 8 - CLOTHING
A new policy has been added.
The digital version has been corrected to state Handlers may have the option of removing their hat to use while handling their dog. Once the hat is removed, handling will be judged.

Page 14 BASE REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL JUDGES
In the printed version, it states The individual must attend a judges/handlers seminar once every three (3) years.
The digital version has been corrected to state The individual must attend a judges/handlers seminar once every two (2) years.

Page 21, 22, 24 - TO MAINTAIN YOUR JUDGE LICENSE
In the printed version, it states Attend an HRC Judges/Handlers Seminar once every three (3) years.
The digital version has been corrected to state Attend an HRC Judges/Handlers Seminar once every two (2) years.

Page 24 - SEMINARS
In the printed version, it states All judges are required to attend the HRC Judges/Handlers Seminar once every three (3) years. The 3-year term of the seminar requirement will be extended to Dec. 31, three years from the year of any seminar taken.
The digital version has been corrected to state All judges are required to attend the HRC Judges/Handlers Seminar once every two (2) years. The 2-year term of the seminar requirement will be extended to Dec. 31, two years from the year of any seminar taken.

Page 33 FINISHED HUNT TEST PURPOSE AND PHILOSOPHY
In the printed version, it states duplicates actual hunting conditions found throughout the local area.

Page 36 UPLAND HUNT TEST PURPOSE AND PHILOSOPHY

Page 67 FINISHED TEST RULES
In the printed version, it states "The honor dog will be excused from the test after the working dog has left the retrieving line.
