UKC Announces New Drag Racing Category Designations

To improve the safety of our events, UKC has reassigned the Drag Racing Categories. Category B dogs have moved to Category A. American Pit Bull Terriers and all other bully-type breeds have been removed from Category D and placed into their own category, Category B.

We recognize that the weight and muscularity of these dogs when racing against breeds with lighter body frames has the potential to cause injury, especially when running through the end barrier and into the catch area.

These changes will be made effective October 1, 2018. Dogs affected by these changes will retain any 2018 All Star Points earned.
