From the desk of UKC President Tanya Raab: "On behalf of the staff of United Kennel Club, I would like to personally thank Joe and Cheryl Johnson for their hospitality, opening their home to us for the first UKC Elite Shed Dog trial. Not to mention the excellent running grounds for today's trial. Thank you to UKCs VP Todd Kellam, Bobby Parry, Joe Johnson, Clint, and Kevin. Joey Johnson for being in the field all day planting sheds, judging, running participants to the courses or doing the multitude of items that make events successful - which today was a huge success, in my opinion. Moreover, a HUGE thank you to each one of you who made the trek to Michigan to participate in this trial. Congratulations to each and every one of you for a job well done! It was a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to seeing you at the next trial. Be safe in your travels home. I know for my dog Pagos and I, we were happily exhausted after a wonderful day. It is my belief that we are indeed off to a great start for the UKC Elite Shed Dog Series. Thank you and take care until next time."

A Kalamazoo, Michigan-based company founded in 1898, United Kennel Club is the largest all-breed performance-dog registry in the world, registering dogs from all 50 states and 25 foreign countries. Celebrating the unique Total Dog philosophy, UKC events highlight the instincts and heritage of dogs that look and perform equally well, as more than 60 percent of its annually licensed events are tests of hunting ability, training, and instinct. United Kennel Club prides itself on its family-oriented, friendly, educational events, welcoming both purebred dogs and dogs of unknown ancestry.
