We are pleased to introduce and welcome Allen Roberts of Ten Mile, Tennessee to our team of Coonhound Field Representatives. Allen was born in 1963 by way of his father, Glen Lee and his mother Anna Mae Roberts. His father was a coonhunter and helped instill that passion into Allen at a young age. He and his wife of 40 years, Wendy, had two children which in turn have blessed him with six grandchildren. Derrick, his son, with Briar, Titan, Honor, and Valor. And his daughter, Megan, with Callie and Bella.

Allen is a lifelong coonhunter and has been a key cog in the Ten Mile Coonhunters Association in Ten Mile, Tennessee for nearly 40 years. Competing with hounds and putting on events is a family affair for the Roberts and if you attend an event at the Ten Mile club, you can bet to see all hands on deck helping put on quality event after quality event. In his time with the Ten Mile club, he has spearheaded almost two decades worth of Tennessee State Youth Championships, multiple Tennessee State Championships, UKC Youth Nationals, and the UKC World Championship Zones four times. In addition to these major events, the club has made it a point to have annual events raising money for the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, among other benefit events they hold throughout the year for those in need.

Allens overall experience in coonhound events make him perfect for the duties of a UKC Field Rep. This will be his second run as a UKC Field Representative, having served as such for close to 10 years in the 90s and early 2000s before kids and life persuaded him to give up his roll. Now with his kids grown and having recently retired from his full-time job to focus on his light company, Outlaw Lights, it was the perfect chance for him to jump back on board. He has competed at the highest level, earning titles for numerous hounds in his years hunting dogs. That experience as a competitor coupled with his knowledge attained by hosting events as a club President and officiating events as a Master of Hounds for nearly 30 years makes him more than capable for this position and we are pleased that he has accepted it.

His responsibilities as a UKC Coonhound Field Rep will include serving as an event official in events such as the Coonhound World Championship, UKC Tournament of Champions, Autumn Oaks, Winter Classic, and any other assignments that might come along. UKC looks forward to working with Mr. Roberts. Please join us in welcoming him to an outstanding group of individuals who are currently serving as well as those who have served in the past.

Guided by the belief that dogs make a difference by being the best partner a human can have in the field, on the job, or in a competition event, UKC is a community for people and dogs to pursue excellence together. Founded in 1898, UKC has been dedicated to enhancing the lives of Dogs That Do More, and their owners, by providing essential resources to help owners and breeders make informed decisions. The dog-human bond is celebrated through family-friendly programs highlighting the instincts and heritage of purebred and mixed-breed dogs alike at over 18,000 licensed events annually.
