Process for Papers Lost in the Mail or Never Received from UKC
Lost in Mail / Never Received from UKC
- 30 Day Rule:
- UKC allows 30 days, from the date we mailed the papers, for the US Postal Service to either deliver the papers to the customer or return the paperwork to UKC.
- During the 30 day mailing period, please feel free to contact us periodically and we would be happy to check our “Returned Mail” and update you on the status of your paperwork.
- If after 30 days you have not received your paperwork, and the US Postal Service has not returned it to us, you can submit a completed Application for Duplicate Registration Papers and indicate "Lost in Mail, Replace at No Charge" on the "Reason" line of the application.
- “Six Month” Rule:
- UKC will only issue duplicate papers free of charge when an Application for Duplicate Registration Papers has been submitted within 6 months of the original date the papers were mailed by UKC; after 6 months all fees will apply.
- Lost due to Change of address:
- UKC is not responsible for papers that were lost in the mail due to a recent move or address that was incorrectly submitted; all posted fees will apply.

A person could almost say that the history of the English Coonhound is the history of all coonhounds — and he wouldn’t be too far wrong. With the exception of the Plott Hound, all the UKC breeds of coonhounds have a common ancestry that is deeply rooted in the English Foxhound.
The English was first registered by UKC in 1905, under the name of English Fox & Coonhound. English hounds have excelled in both performance and conformation. The first major coonhound Field Trial of all time, the first Leafy Oak, was won by an English dog called “Bones”, owned by Colonel Leon Robinson. |
