In today's world, just by reading the news and by hearing what is going on in the world, it has never been more obvious that we need better role models for our children. While I believe that your blue collar, hard working folks who make up a the majority of our sport do a better job than most, it still stands to reason that even we could do a better job. Yes, I said we. I'm raising a daughter, with a son due in December, and I want to make sure that what they see Dad do is what Dad should be doing. I just wanted to cover a few topics that, as coon hunters, our youth will face, and give them some advice on how to handle each one and give us adults a friendly reminder: Conserving Our Resource, Diminishing Hunting Territory, Sportsmanship, Honesty and the Nite Hunts. Hunt Of A Lifetime is a nonprofit organization based in Harborcreek, Pennsylvania. It is for children with life-threatening illnesses 21 years of age and younger, and it arranges to send the youth on the hunting or fishing trip of their dreams.
