"Building A Good Reputation" Nathan Lattimer In today's world, just by reading the news and by hearing what is going on in the world, it has never been more obvious that we need better role models for our children. While I believe that your blue collar, hard working folks who make up a the majority of our sport do a better job than most, it still stands to reason that even we could do a better job. Yes, I said we. I'm raising a daughter, with a son due in December, and I want to make sure that what they see Dad do is what Dad should be doing. I just wanted to cover a few topics that, as coon hunters, our youth will face, and give them some advice on how to handle each one and give us adults a friendly reminder: Conserving Our Resource, Diminishing Hunting Territory, Sportsmanship, Honesty and the Nite Hunts. Read more here.

This Weekend At UKC Bluetick Days Robinson, Illinois - The nation’s largest UKC Bluetick event for six years running, National Bluetick Days will gather Bluetick Coonhound fanciers in Palestine, Illinois from May 15 to 17. Sponsored by the Bluetick Breeders of America, a UKC Chartered Breed Association, and hosted by the Wabash Valley CHC, the event kicks off Thursday and will feature coonhound nite hunts and bench shows, with Purina Points events Friday and Saturday.
