BLOODLINES Classified Advertising
25¢ per word, $5 minimum. Classified ads may be submitted via fax, e-mail, or regular mail. Classifieds must be paid upon insertion. We accept VISA, MasterCard, check, or money order. Please do not send cash as we cannot be held responsible for stolen mail.
All classifieds that appear in the magazine will be posted on UKC’s website as soon as the respective issue is mailed.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope to ensure the return of your valuable photos.
- Photographs in the form of 35 mm glossy prints reproduce the best. Please note: do not cut your photos. If you want them cropped, just indicate how you want them cropped. We will crop them electronically without harming the original photo.
- Photos sent via e-mail will only be accepted under the following parameters: Black & white photos must be scanned at no less than 300 dpi and sent in tif format. Color photos must be scanned at no less than 600 dpi and sent in tif or jpeg format.
- We prefer to not use printouts of low-end digital photos. We will evaluate any that are sent in and notify you if we question the quality.
- IMPORTANT ... Advertising not paid for within 30 days will be assessed a 1 1/2% late charge per month. The charge for a returned check is $25 per item.
DESIGN ASSISTANCE
Design assistance is available at no extra charge. UKC has a talented and experienced design staff that will cater to your specific layout ideas. You can preview your ad by e-mail or fax.
DEADLINE INFORMATION - EDITORIAL & ADVERTISING
BLOODLINES is a monthly magazine. The deadline for each issue is always the 15th of the month, a month and a half prior to the respective issue. For example, the deadline for the December 2005 issue would be October 15, 2005. Deadlines are strictly followed so that production goes smoothly, which in turn allows BLOODLINES to be mailed on its scheduled mailing date of the 15th of each month. We strongly recommend sending your ad material 7-10 business days prior to the deadline. Use Priority Mail or Next Day Air anytime after that to ensure we have your material by deadline. Any ad material received after the deadline will be held over for the next issue.

The Dogue de Bordeaux is one of the oldest French breeds. Its actual origins are obscure but it is probably descended from one of the strains of Mastiff-type dogs that accompanied Macedonian and Roman armies through Asia, Europe, and Britain. By the middle of the 19th century, the Dogue de Bordeaux was little known outside of Aquitaine where it was used to hunt large animals, such as boar; to fight; to guard homes and cattle; and in the service of butchers. The breed narrowly missed extinction during the two world wars but enjoyed a resurgence in the 1960's. Sometime in the early 1980's, the first Dogue de Bordeaux was imported to the United States. |
