Agility will be held indoors in Room “E”. Conformation will be indoors and outdoors. Dog Sport will be held outdoors.
Obedience will be indoors in Room “A”. Rally Obedience will be held outdoors. Weight Pull will be the covered 4-H Arena. Terrier Races will be held outdoors.

Dogs invited to participate in 2008 All-Star competitions may be entered in PREMIER Agility Trials, Obedience Trials and Weight Pulls beginning February 16, 2009. Advanced entry closing date for All-Star Invitees is March 2, 2009. Only dogs that have received invitations for the 2008 All-Star competitions may make use of the advance entry date. All-Star Invitees may only advance enter the class(es) in which they qualify as an All-Star. Advanced entry is available by fax or mail. Online entry for this special advance entry is not available. |

Dear PREMIER Exhibitor,
Another year has passed and it’s time for PREMIER once again. We hope you’ll join us for our annual showcase of the Total Dog in Kalamazoo, Michigan on June 12, 13 and 14, 2009.
I know I’ve stated this before, but I can’t stress it enough. Every year people get turned away from PREMIER because they wait until the last minute to enter. Our entries open on March 2, 2009. Entries received before that date will be refused. Entries close at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, May 15, 2009. Please note that while the Conformation Events have no numerical limit and we will accept entries until the closing date, some of the Performance Events have numerical limits and those entries will close when that numerical limit is reached. Once the numerical limit for these events has been reached, no entries may be canceled or substituted. In most cases, Performance events reach their limits very quickly.

Those of you who traditionally fax your entries to UKC should be aware that as the closing date approaches, the fax machine is frequently busy and sometimes it is very difficult to get through. Each year people complain that they faxed their entry to us and we have no record of it. This year any faxed entry must be received in UKC’s offices by the closing date and time and must be fully legible and complete in order for it to be accepted. We will not accept a faxed entry after the closing date and time based on a “Transmission OK” message in the possession of the owner. If you choose to fax your entry, you do so at your own risk!
UKC wants to afford every exhibitor who wishes to compete at PREMIER the opportunity to enter. By entering early, you’ll have the best chance of being a part of PREMIER 2009.

This Weekend At UKC
UKC is pleased to announce that the running of the 2010 UKC World Squirrel Dog Championship will take place in Franklin, Indiana, and will be hosted by the Johnson County Hound Club. The event date will be Saturday, March 20th. New this year will be last chance qualifying events which will take place on Friday, March 19th and will feature a.m. and p.m. qualifiers. There will also be a World Championship Bench Show which will take place Friday evening. Clubs wishing to conduct qualifying events between now and then are encouraged to call UKC Field Representative Eugene Hill (256) 596-0568 or UKC Field Representative Marty Stanton (812) 343-0958. One of UKC's most widely registered breeds, the Treeing Walker was developed from certain strains of English Walker Foxhounds. Walkers were first registered with UKC as part of the English Coonhound breed. Then in 1945, at the request of Walker breeders, UKC began registering them as a separate breed — first as Walkers (Treeing) and then later as Treeing Walkers. |
