Congratulations to RidgeRunner Norwegians!

Casper, new to us on Nov 13, 2007 just five days after his arrival, he finished his CH title in 3 shows at the tender age of 6 months 2 days with three Group placements, on Nov 18, 2007. He also added a 4th BOB and Group win from the puppy class. He is the first Norwegian Buhund to be shown in UKC in the state of Colorado and to our knowledge is the youngest CH of his Breed.

Mac, bears a first for the Norwegian Elkhound Breed. It started Sept 9, 2000 with his earning his CH title with Group placements, from the Breeder Handler classes. In 2004, he was #6 of the Top Ten, the same year he was a "TOTAL DOG", between a Group placement / BIS-Brace & 1st place in his weight pull division. In 2005 Mac was the TOP TEN Best of Breed and a Northern Group 4th at the 2004 Premier. 2007 ended with Mac earning 12 Group placements, his OFA Health CHIC #, a new Grand Ch title and as the #1 Norwegian Elkhound.
Mac, became our 25th CH under the 'RidgeRunner' prefix since our humble beginning July 19,1998 when I finished his sire (BIS CH Norelka's Cloak & Dagger).

Q, earned his CH title from the classes over champions and Grand Champions, with Group placements all the way on Nov 17th, 2007, (our 32 wedding anniversary). Making him the #1 Lundehund in 2007. Q started out 2008 finishing his UKC Grand title with 5 Group placements and a prestigious Reserve Best in Show. Plus, Q won the first UKC Lundehund Specialty Champion of Champions class. And is ranked #2 of the breeds Top Ten so far in 2008. Q is also featured in the 63rd issue of 'Purina Today's Breeder', page 14.

Congrats to a young UKC Champion!

In her first UKC shows as a competitive entry, at exactly
6 months old to the day, Dah wow'd them. Winning 1st place in
the first show's Gun Dog Group, beating several UKC Champions
in the process....and that was only the start of her day! In the
second show of the day, she repeated her Gun Dog Group win and
went on to handily win BEST IN SHOW! She has surpassed every
tiny wish and hope I have had for her, all in her first day of shows!
On Day Two of this 4 show weekend, she placed a respectable
Gun Dog Group 2 and a Gun Dog Group 3, neatly wrapping
up her UKC CHAMPIONSHIP! All at the ripe old age of
6 months and 1 day! Doesn't get any better than that!

My Breeder/Owner handled puppy Redyre Choice Mahalo Bro' finished his CH recently at the Carolina Classic. Mike finished with 5 straight Best Male wins, 3 BOB wins (one over a CH), 2 Gr. 2s and 1 Gr. 1 at the age of 7 months.

Congrats to the first Lundehund to win Total Dog!

UAGI GR CH Thunderpaws Isaak was the first Lundehund to obtain the award "Total Dog" and he did it in his first agility trial (first agility ever agility competition) at Premier 2005! Isaak also was #1 in Top Ten in 2005 as well and he was #2 behind his son GR CH Thunderpaws Q O'Ridgerunner for 2007.

Congrats to a young Best Puppy in Show!

On April 19, 2008, our latest homebred Sheltie, Leo. Memory Leonidas, made us proud by going BOB, Group 1 at both shows, and Best Puppy in Show under respected Sheltie breeder, Karen Shivers. All this at the tender age of 3 1/2 months!

Congrats on a new Weight Pull Title!

UWP GRCH Massie Nevada's Less Is More ,Lester, Earned his UWP in impressive style in one weekend. Three pulls all over the required qualifying weight. His pulls were 1040lbs 27x his body weight,1760lb 46x his body weight and finished the weekend with a 2000lb pull 52 x his body weight. All this with only 3 weeks of training.To me Lester is an outstanding example of what the UKC stands for,excelling in both Conformation and working ability.

My Airedale Terrier CH Bleu By You at 22
mths. of age showed at the Sunshine Terrier Club UKC event in Lakeland, FL
on May 25th, Bleu won back to back Best in Multi-Breed Show! Also a
wonderful accomplishment in the UKC, CH Bleu by You became the first Airedale to
win Best in Show or Best in Multi-Breed Show.

I am very proud of him, we both have worked very hard, and wanted to make a
special thank you to the judges John and Sally Davidson for the wonderful
wins!!
