New UKC Champion!!
It seems like yesterday I was bring Topaz home, the sun shinning in my face, listening to music, and that cute face looking at me through the crate.
February 22, 2009 was Topaz’s 1st show in UKC, where I showed him in conformation. I couldn't have been prouder that day( and tired) when he went ALL the way from Best of Male, to Best of Breed, First Place in Group to Best in Show and made the judges final cut . To make a long story short, with a few shows in between, Topaz, as of July 4, 2009, earned his UKC Championship title, and also went on to Best in Show that day and got the Reserve Best in Multi Breed Show. I look forward to a long life with Topaz as we move onto Rally, Agility, Field work, playing in the park, just hanging out, watching movies and eating popcorn.

Dogue De Bordeaux Conformation Champion!
Annies Red Tank is my amazing male Dogue De Bordeaux. We all know him as, "Grandpa". Grandpa is currently one of the only Bordeaux's competing in agility. He is a Conformation Champion and he has been ablaze in the show ring this year. Currently this year he has won group seven times and has one BIS with some very impressive competition. This is very hard for this breed to do and I am very PROUD!!

New Grand Champion AND Total Dog!

My Alaskan Klee Kai, Kaiser, finished his UKC GRCH title this weekend to become GRCH'PR' Alasco's Kvichak at the age of 18 months! Kaiser started his conformation career in March, so he did this in only four months! In addition to winning his GRCH class and taking Best of Breed on Sunday, he also had a qualifying weight pull of 144 lbs, which earned him the TOTAL DOG award! I could not be more proud of his accomplishments!

Total Junior Participates in UKC Conformation!!

Zoie McDonald started showing in UKC Juniors at the tender age of 2 years old, this year at Premier at the age of 5, she entered the "big" people ring for the first time with her 2 new pom puppies and took a Best Male with one of them. She is quite a site to see in Juniors but seeing her show alone with the adults at Premier this year is some thing no one in attendance will ever forget - including the judges - heck the table is almost taller than her !!

Two new Started Hunting Retriever Title Winners!

I have attached a picture of my one year old Black labs for the bragging rights; this is my first year as a member of Land of Lakes Hunting Retriever Club.
I entered these two in their first HRC hunt test in May at Muddy Waters Hunting Retriever Club and they both had their first pass on Saturday. Sunday brought us every bit of good luck. The next month (June) we entered into the Horicon Marsh Hunting Retriever Club Hunt test and passed both days. I am proud to say they both passed on Saturday and Sunday to receive their Started Hunting Retriever Title (SHR)

Congratulations to a Grand Champion!
“Crystal” finished her UKC CH in style at a mere 8 months of age in her (and my) very 1st weekend showing in the UKC, by taking BOB in the first 3 of 4 shows that weekend (with competition). She also earned 2 Group 4’s and a Group 3 that weekend. She went on to earn her GRCH Title by the age of 16 months in just 5 more short weekends of showing after earning her CH Title. She didn’t stop there; she also earned a RBIMS at the age of 15 months and was the # 10 Boxer in the UKC in 2007 after just 2 weekends of showing. She finished 2008 as the lucky # 7 UKC Boxer. I am so proud of everything this girl has accomplished. She is truly amazing.

American Black & Tan Coonhound

The Black & Tan is one of many tracking breeds that was developed in the south of the United States. The breed can trace its immediate ancestry to the American Foxhound and the Virginia Foxhound of colonial days, with probably the introduction of some Bloodhound stock. This latter would explain not only the coloration of the Black & Tan, but its tendency toward being larger-boned than other breeds, its long ears, and its famous cold nose. The American Black & Tan was the first coonhound breed to be admitted into registry with UKC. When they were first registered in 1900, and for several years after that, they were registered as American Black & Tan Fox & Coonhounds.
