| The 50th Anniversary Autumn Oaks will be celebrated in Richmond, Indiana from September 3-6, 2009. A popular event from the beginning, the annual UKC Autumn Oaks has grown to be one of the largest sporting dog events in the world.
Special events and celebrations are planned in conjunction with the yearly coonhound competitions. Watch this page for news, updates, and special historical Autumn Oaks features, as we count down to the 50th Anniversary Autumn Oaks!

Fairgrounds Reminder
The city of Richmond, Indiana has graciously welcomed Autumn Oaks to the Wayne County Fairgrounds again for 2009. Please help keep the grounds clean - remember to pick up after yourself and your dogs!
Please note that the Wayne County Fairgrounds is now a designated non-smoking area.

The 50th Anniversary is for the kids, too! Many fun activities will be available for kids all weekend! Check out all the cool kids stuff this year!
Those opposed to hunting and hounds would like nothing better than to be able to find instances of bad behavior and poor dog care. Let’s not give them a single reason. Individually and collectively, we need to show our best efforts at all times. While the vast majority of the sport does a great job with dog care, we all need to remind those who don’t of our duty to the sport and the hounds. There is simply no excuse for letting your dogs soil the grounds without picking it up. There is absolutely no excuse for not providing shade, food and water for dogs at all times. The limited UKC staff tries our best to patrol what we can, but with a dozen of us, a hundred acres of fairgrounds, scores of hotels and plenty of work, we need everyone on board to keep the sport in the positive spotlight it so richly deserves... read more. |
