An ideal location for a World Championship Squirrel Hunt. The Pee Dee Squirrel Hunter’s Association at Lake Darpo had all casts in game and recorded a perfect 13 casts returning with plus points.

Stacey Osborn’s SQCH Indian Creek Squirrel Gurl trees one in the first round en route to her cast win.

SQCH GRNITECH Ryals’ Alabama Bear in the first round left no doubt that he is a hard, classy tree dog.

Anyone ever heard of Chicken Bog? It’s a chicken and rice dish that is good eating and can fill up a hungry bunch of hunters in short order.

Beautiful weather brought out a good crowd for the treeing contest, bench show, raffles and chicken bog!

Tracy Phillips shows his outstanding Treeing Cur male Phillips Little River Ranger in the World Show Championship final class. Moments later Judge David McKee crowned Ranger World Show Champion. Ranger went on to place 8th in the hunt!

SQCH DuBose’s Lil Amos (left) and Muddy Stump Gator team up to put point plus points on the card in the semi-final round. This cast was one of the closest of the weekend coming down to circle points to break a 350+ tie between Amos and Gator.

Georgia Boy’s Blondie owned by Jarrett Corley and Chad Littlejohn on her semi-final cast.

The World Championship Final Cast ready to turn loose on Sunday morning. Front row left to right: Glenn Rogers with Tazz, Darryl Morgan with Gator and Britt Barnett with Jenna. In the back row are Judges Johnny Chapman (left) and Dewey Chapman.

Tazz finds one and Glenn shakes him loose. Plus it!

Non-hunting Judge Dewey Chapman totals the scorecard at the end of the Final Cast on Sunday morning as handler Darryl Morgan looks on.
