BENCH SHOW RULES 1. All hounds will be shown for Championship points and Show Champion honors. 2. Bench Show entries will be taken on the grounds. All hounds will be shown in the early afternoon on Saturday, April 14, 2012. Deadline will be posted at event. 3. Entry fee of $10 per dog, including Pairs Class. 4. Only those hounds participating in the hunt, or able to show proof of 50 previously earned Championship hunt points, will be eligible to be shown. HUNT RULES 1. Advanced entry only. All entries must be postmarked by midnight March 24, 2012. No hunt entries will be taken on the grounds. A confirmation will be mailed to all entrants confirming entry. This confirmation is not needed to confirm entry at event. 2. No refunds will be issued after the advanced entry deadline. Another dog registered to the same individual may be substituted for a female in season, a sick or injured dog. A veterinarian’s slip is required for sick and injured dogs. 3. Entry fee of $25 payable to United Kennel Club, Inc. must accompany each advanced hunt entry. 4. Entries must be confirmed at the UKC headquarters desk by 6:30 a.m. on the morning scheduled to hunt. 5. All hounds must be UKC Registered by the advanced entry deadline of March 24, 2012. It is acceptable for single registration applications to accompany the advanced entry application. 6. FORMAT FOR 2012 – All Registered hounds will be run on Friday, April 13, 2012. All Hunting Beagle Champions and Grand Hunting Beagle Champions will be run on Saturday, April 14, 2012. All three categories (Registered, Champions, Grands) will be competing in the Top 16 hunt-off format. Registered, Round 1a, Friday Up to 200 dogs will participate in Round 1a. Preference for the morning round will be given strictly on entry number in the finals. Lowest entry numbers will be given the opportunity for the first round ahead of higher entry numbers. All of these dogs will run on Friday morning, for 90 minutes. Registered, Round 1b, Friday The remaining entries will participate in Round 1b. All of these dogs will run on Friday afternoon, for 1 minutes. The Top 16 plus-point cast winners from Rounds 1a and 1b (combined) will run in four casts, for 90 minutes, on Sunday morning to determine the top four Registered dogs. Hunting Beagle Champions, Saturday All Hunting Beagle Champions will run Saturday morning for 120 minutes. The Top 16 Hunting Beagle Champions will be determined from this round’s scores based on plus-point cast winners. Grand Hunting Beagle Champions, Saturday All Grand Hunting Beagle Champions will run Saturday afternoon for 120 minutes. The Top 16 Grand Hunting Beagle Champions will be determined from this round’s scores based on plus-point cast winners. Sunday Sunday morning the Top 16 plus-point cast winners from all three categories (Registered, Champions and Grands) will run for 120 minutes. The top four plus-point cast winners from each respective category will be determined in this round. On Sunday afternoon the top four plus point cast winners from each of the three categories will compete in three Final Four winners packs. |
