Wait List Procedure for Major UKC® Events
(Autumn Oaks & UKC Winter Classic)
Each year, a maximum number of entries are accepted for each night’s hunt. To accommodate more hunters wishing to enter each event a wait list has been devised. Those advanced entries received after entries have filled up for each night, but received before the advertised advanced
entry deadline, will be put on the wait list. They will then be eligible to replace any “no shows” to bring the number of entries to the maximum. Autumn Oaks and UKC Winter Classic have a wait list for each category. If 15 Nite Champion entries do not hunt Friday, 15 dogs would be eligible to hunt from the Nite Champion Wait List. The first dog selected from the Nite Champion Wait List would be Position #1 provided that the entry was confirmed. If the #1 Nite Champion Wait Listed entry was not confirmed, the owner holding Nite Champion Position #2 would be the first dog selected, etc. This applies for all three (3) categories (Registered, Nite Champion and Grand Nite Champion).
The position numbers hold for Saturday night. For example, if Nite Champion Position #1 did not confirm Friday, they would be the first dog selected to replace a Nite Champion “no show” entry Saturday night. Again, this is provided the Wait Listed entry is confirmed.
Remember, Wait Listed dogs must confirm their advanced entry by the advertised entry confirmation deadline, the same as the regular entries.
Wait List entries will be determined by their “confirmed” Wait List number not by a first come/first served basis. No dogs other than those on the wait list will be eligible for entry on the day of the event. A separate wait list is used for Registered, Nite Champion and Grand Nite Champion entries at Autumn Oaks and the UKC Winter Classic.
