Coonhound Rules Index Permanent Link Show Spectators, Owners and Handlers Revised January 1, 2001 Spectators and/or handlers must remain away from the show ring at all times and dogs must be kept away from the show ring until that dog is called for showing. It is the sole responsibility of the handler or owner to have his dog at ringside at the time his class is called for judging. The club or the United Kennel Club have no responsibility or obligation to locate dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. Owners, handlers and spectators may not interfere with the Judge in any way during the judging of a show. A Judge may disqualify any dog for fighting or attempting to bite another dog or person. The Judge may disqualify an exhibitor for any unsportsmanlike action. A Judge has the right to request that a handler or spectator be removed from the show site for unsportsmanlike behavior.

This Weekend At UKC The Coonhound Department at United Kennel Club is pleased to announce their newest Chartered Breed Association, American Leopard Breeders Association recognized in May of 2008, will be hosting their First Annual American Leopard Hound Days. The event will be held in Sparta, Illinois at the fairgrounds. (More Information). Also, on this same weekend will be the South Carolina State Championship to be held in Darlington, South Carolina. Both American Leopard Hound Days and the South Carolina State Championship are on the 2010 Purina Series schedule also known as Purina Points Events.(More Information). Find an event in your area.
