Barring an Individual from U.K.C. Licensed Events: For Actions Indicated in This Procedure -- Official Procedure
Effective January 1, 1985, any person, intimidating, threatening, or injuring a hunter, Judge, Master of Hounds, Bench Show Judge, club official, or U.K.C. Representative, falsifying any U.K.C. report, receipt, scorecard or other U.K.C. documents:
(1) shall be barred for one year to life from any U.K.C licensed event; and
(2) their dogs shall not receive any Championship points for one year up to life; and
(3) shall be barred from registering any dogs with U.K.C. for one year to life.
The illustrations above are only by way of example.
The following procedure is to be followed by the club holding the U.K.C. licensed event where such intimidating, threatening, or injury occurs before the club takes any disciplinary action or imposes any sanctions. U.K.C. will review the material submitted by the club and may also take appropriate action on the report; however, regardless of whether or not this procedure has been initiated or complied with, U.K.C. reserves unto itself, in its sole judgement and discretion the right to take such action and impose such sanctions as it deems appropriate.
The club holding the U.K.C. licensed event where such intimidating, threatening, or injury occurs, will hold a hearing, after they have notified the person charged, by registered mail of the date, time, place and purpose of the hearing. The club will select a group of at least five (5) officers and members to hear the case. This group must report the following information to U.K.C.:
(1) the name, address, and telephone number of the person charged
(2) any known U.K.C. registration numbers of the person’s dogs
(3) a summary of the charges
(4) the findings from the evidence
(5) the decision reached, and
(6) the recommended sanctions, if any, to be imposed as a result of the hearing
All of the above information must be submitted in writing to U.K.C. and signed by the individuals serving on the hearing committee. The names, addresses, and telephone numbers of the five (5) officials must also be included. U.K.C. will review the reported material submitted by the club; however, U.K.C. reserves unto itself, in its sole judgement and discretion the right to take such action and impose such sanctions as it deems appropriate. Additional information can be requested if desired by U.K.C.
U.K.C. will advise both the individual charged and the club of its final decision.
