The United Kennel Club is pleased to announce that the 2010 UKC Youth Nationals will be held in Madison, North Carolina. Madison is located approximately 30 miles northeast of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The event will be held on July 23^rd and 24^th and hosted by the Dan River Coon Club. The club has a great facility including plenty of area for campers and even a pond for coonhound water racing!

The Dan River Coon Club has hosted this event in the past and did an excellent job in terms of available guides and judges. We look forward to taking the Youth Nationals back to Madison and hope you will join us for one of the largest youth events in the country.

Friday – Last Chance Qualifier
This licensed nite hunt allows any youth not yet qualified via a placement at a State, Breed Youth or YEP events that opportunity by winning their cast with plus points. All cast winners with plus points are eligible for the Qualified Round on Saturday. 1^st through 10^th Place receive a nice trophy and a hunting light from Nite Lite.

Saturday – Youth National Bench Show Championship
This show is open to all youth ages 5 through 17. Ribbons and rosettes will be awarded to class and breed winners. Category winners will receive a nice trophy. In addition, all category winners will receive a hunting light from Nite Lite. The overall bench show winner will be named the 2010 UKC Youth National Bench Show Champion.

Saturday – UKC Youth Nationals Nite Hunt Championship
Any youth who has qualified via a State, Breed or YEP Youth Event are eligible to participate in this event. 1^st through 10^th places will receive a nice trophy and a hunting light from Nite Lite. The high scoring dog of this hunt will be named the 2010 UKC Youth National Nite Hunt Champion. Their photo will be on the cover of the September issue of COONHOUND BLOODLINES. In addition, the top four high scoring dog’s handlers will receive a $2,000.00 Continuing Education Tuition Prize courtesy of the United Kennel Club, Inc.

Saturday – Open Event (UKC Licensed Nite Hunt)
Any youth who did not qualify for the Qualified Round may participate in this event. 1^st through 10^th place will receive a nice trophy and a hunting light from Nite Lite.

Saturday – High Scoring Breed Winners
The handler of each high scoring male and female of each breed will receive a jacket courtesy of their breed association. Those high scoring dogs will come from both the Qualified Round and the Open events on Saturday.
