UKC Winter Classic Judges Announced | |
The United Kennel Club is pleased to announce the following two individuals selected to judge the Bench Show at the 2010 Winter Classic.

David McKee - will judge Dual Champions, Top Ten Runoff,
Registered and Pairs Classes on Friday.
David McKee is from Whitmire, South Carolina, and works as a Foreman for South Carolina Electric & Gas Company. He’s not afraid to get involved for the betterment of the coonhound sport which is evident by the fact that he is currently the President of the Whitmire Coonhunters Association, President of the South Carolina State Coonhunters Association and President of the Grand American Coonhunters Association! To say David is respected amongst his coonhunting peers is an understatement.
An owner of Treeing Walker Coonhounds, David has had hounds since 1962 and been an active Master of Hounds and Bench Show Judge for the past 18 years. The thing he enjoys most about judging bench shows is the chance to look at quality dogs up close and determine each individual’s strengths and weaknesses. David’s judging experience is well versed having judged major shows for several registries including the Grand American, English Days and several State Championships.

Junior Lasseter - will judge Champions, Grand Champions
and select Overall Winter Classic Bench Show Champion.
Junior Lasseter’s dad hunted grade Redbone Coonhounds at the time Junior was born. He remember’s single registering their first Redbone in 1964 and making him a Show Champion and Nite Champion. Although Junior’s allegiance has since switched to the Treeing Walker breed, he has for his whole life been involved in the sport. Junior has been judging coonhound bench shows for 37 years and admits his favorite part of judging is getting an up close look at what other exhibitors bring to the ring. As a participant showing coonhounds, Junior has three National Grand titles to his credit.
Junior has worked in vehicle sales for 17 years and currently lives in Green Forest, AR, with his wife Joan. They have three children and 10 grandchildren. Junior has served as an officer of the Missouri Coonhunters Federation for 10 years and has held offices on and off for the Table Rock Sportsmen Association since 1964.
