MOJO Wins Consecutive UKC Triple Crown Challenge!
UKC Winter Classic / Challenge I
This past March in Albany, Georgia Mojo won his cast on Friday night at the Winter Classic. On Saturday afternoon his owner Robert Raxter was awarded a $3,000.00 check from Black Gold Dog Food for winning the 2008 UKC Triple Crown Challenge. Later that night Mojo won his cast yet again and quickly established himself as one of the front runners of the Triple Crown Challenge Series for 2009.

Co-Owner
In March of this year Scott Engle of Hillsboro, Ohio came on board as co-owner of the three year old stud. Throughout the year Raxter, Engle and Mojo could be found in the Winners Circle at many coonhound events all across the country and including several different registries.
Autumn Oaks / Challenge II
In September Mojo was entered in the 50th Anniversary of Autumn Oaks. Once again - a Cast Winner and was named the High-Scoring Treeing Walker male of the event. In addition, Mojo was now also a serious contender for a second Triple Crown.
The Contenders
In order to be the first two-time winner of the Triple Crown Mojo would need to get past two other hounds that were still neck-in-neck with him. Those hounds were a Bluetick female; CH GRNITECH ‘PR’ Looking For Timber Hannah owned by AJ Dovers of Douglas, Georgia and a Treeing Walker female; ‘PR’ Daltons Clicking Katie owned by Dalton Gunderson of Adairsville, Kentucky. Unfortunately, for Katie she did not qualify for the 2009 World Championships so that left only Mojo and Hannah so long as they could win one or more casts in any part of the World Championships.
The UKC World Championship / Challenge III
Both Mojo and Hannah won their casts on the first night of the Zone Semifinals. Still tied! On the Saturday night of the zones both Mojo and Hannah failed to win their casts resulting in adding up their total scores of each hounds cast win in Triple Crown Challenge Series Events as follows.
TRIPLE CROWN EVENT MOJO HANNAH
Winter Classic Friday 275+CW 625+CW
Winter Classic Saturday 325+CW 425+CW
Autumn Oaks 1250+CW 325+CW
Zone Semifinals Friday 425+CW 225+CW
TOTAL SCORE 2275+ 1600+

CH GRNITECH ‘PR’ Boogar Hollow Mojo will go down in UKC history as the first ever coonhound with more than one UKC Triple Crown Challenge win on his extensive list of accomplishments. And he did it back-to-back at barely three years of age. His impressive resume makes him one of the hottest commodities in the coonhound world today. In addition, he is quickly becoming one of the most sought after young sires in the country as well. Only time will tell how he might play a part in the breed moving forward.
The United Kennel Club congratulates Robert Raxter of Brevard, North Carolina and Scott Engle of Hillsboro, Ohio on the latest accomplishment of their fine Treeing Walker Coonhound CH GRNITECH ‘PR’ Boogar Hollow Mojo. His consistency and ability to adapt to different terrain cover and conditions earned him a consecutive Triple Crown Challenge! We look forward to presenting them a check in the amount of $3,000.00, compliments of Black Gold Dog Food, at the Awards Ceremony at the upcoming Winter Classic in Albany, Georgia.
The United Kennel Club Triple Crown program, sponsored by Black Gold Dog Food, acknowledges and rewards outstanding coonhounds at the three largest UKC Nite Hunts. The UKC Triple Crown recognizes coonhound excellence through consistency and the ability to adapt to changing cover, terrain and conditions. The hound that accumulates the most Triple Crown points in the three UKC Triple Crown events – Winter Classic, Autumn Oaks and the Coonhound World Championship is declared the winner.
