Grand Bluetick Reunion

The BBOA & the BBCHA joined forces this weekend to celebrate the Grand Bluetick Reunion in Graham, North Carolina. Thursday night's All-Blue Hunt was a wash.................in terms of rain showers that is. Thursday night saw entries nearly doubled compared to the most recent All-Blue Hunt at the Grand Reunion. The idea to add an RQE for this years All-Blue Hunt was implimented to hopefully help boost entries. 52 hounds and hunters welcomed the added incentive solidifying the idea proved to be a success. Eight cast winners came back to headquarters with a total score of plus points; even after dealing with undesirable conditions throughout most of the hunt. Unfortunately, more rain and even some pretty serious thunderstorms are predicted throughout the weekend. 72 hounds entered Fridays hunt and before the National Anthem reached it's final note; another down pour. The deadline to return is 4am so hopefully the hunters will catch a few breaks in the weather throught the night to get their hunt in without too much misery. And we'll keep our fingers crossed for a nicer Saturday night hunt weather-wise. Check out the results of this weekends results up to this point. Watch for more updates throughout the remainder of the weekend; right here on the Coonhound News Page.
