Ethan and Mindy
Ethan Wells of Danville, Indiana is 14 years old and soon to be a freshman
at Cascade High School. Ethan has been actively field trialing in UKC for
about 3 years. The bug bit him when we went to a youth fun hunt sponsored
by The Central Indiana Beagle Club of Coatesville IN. That day Ethan came
home with 4 new dogs and it has been uphill ever since. He is now an active
member of that club. Ethan has traveled to Mississippi, Illinois and Ohio
to participate in these field trials. He has handled various dogs for Lee
Clemens and Matt Glomski in the UKC Performance Pack Nationals and
Performance Pack World.
Ethan purchased Mindy with money he had earned form the proceeds of his 4H
show pig last year. He ended up picking her up last October from Jim Taylor
near Bedford Indiana. She was born in June 2005 and had never been in a
field trial. Ethan started trialing her this spring and won the first three
Hunting Beagle hunts she was entered in (The Indiana Youth Hunt being the
third) and her first three Performance Pack hunts. Making her a dual
champion in six hunts. She also is a champion on the bench and has 2 wins
toward her title of Grand Show Champion. It is Ethan’s goal to make Mindy a
triple Grand Champion .
