Black Ice Oscar Wins the World! | |
Over 150 beaglers from across the country congregated in LaGrange, Indiana this past weekend to go after the most sought after title in hound sports - World Champion! After four grueling rounds of competition against the best of the best in the country, it was an eighteen month old hound from the state of West Virginia who left the fairgrounds late Sunday afternoon as the one and only undefeated hound in the competition.
HBCH Dalton's Cold As BLK Ice Oscar proved his "junior status" was not at all a disadvantage against the older more experienced hounds. In the Final Cast on Sunday afternoon Oscar showcased tremendous ability, heart and stamina under less than desirable conditions. His performances throughout the whole weekend carried him right to the top of the beagle world and was named the 2008 UKC Hunting Beagle World Champion!
UKC congratulates Manuel and Leroy Dalton of Harts, West Virginia and their fine young hound HBCH Dalton's Cold As BLK Ice Oscar on their prestigious accomplishment!
