4th Annual NC State Water Race Championship Event Results

Several years ago the Richmond County Cooner Club in Rockingham, North Carolina came up with an idea to have an annual Water Race Championship at their club. Now in its fourth year, this event has seen growth each year. This year there were estimates of approximately 200 people in attendance. Many of which came for all the raffles. Wind and rainstorms put a little damper on the festivities and delayed the races for a few hours. But the skies cleared up again and the games began. This year we had participants from SC and some from 3-4 hours away in NC. In addition to the water races, we also had a bench show where all breeds were represented with exception to English, Plott, and Leopard. Prizes were given for the overall winners of both the bench show and the water race. We look forward to a bigger and better event next year. Please be sure to join us for the '09 Championship.
