The selection of Bench Show Judges for the years top coonhound bench shows is always a challenge. There is a lot of responsibility in selecting Judges that are knowledgeable, honest and professional. It’s one of those decisions that you can be certain will not please everyone. This years coupling of Judges will meet with a very high approval rate amongst participants in terms of the above parameters. We at United Kennel Club are very much looking forward to working with this team of Judges.

Dale Prunty of Shinnston, West Virginia, lacks only an Autumn Oaks assignment to have completed his resume of having judged every major UKC sponsored event including; the World Coonhound Championship, the UKC Winter Classic, the UKC Beagle Nationals, the UKC Beagle World Championship and the all-breed UKC Premier Show have all previously benefited from Dale’s watchful eye. Dale’s experience comes from having participated as a breeder of true dual champion Treeing Walkers and Beagles and a handler in both show and field at the same top levels he has judged.

Bonnie Rowntree of Durham, Ontario; Canada will be making her debut for UKC as a Triple Crown Event Bench Show Judge. Bonnie comes highly recommended from some very respected individuals and has the credentials to back it up. In addition to breeding and showing Grand Champion Redbone Coonhounds, Bonnie and her husband are also very active in the Thoroughbred Horse industry. Bonnie has such shows as the Canadian Autumn Open along with State and Breed events to her credit and we are confident you will enjoy presenting your hounds to her.
