|Effective Immediately: United Kennel Club Announces Changes to Coonhound Single Registration|
United Kennel Club is pleased to announce changes to the Coonhound Single Registration process to create more uniformity in Coonhound Single Registration overall. Effective December 15, 2014, the procedures for single registering coonhounds will be changed significantly. The changes to the single registration procedures are the result of an effort to standardize the Single Registration process among the seven recognized breeds of coonhounds.
|United Kennel Club Announces New Opportunity for Registration of Litters Sired by Non-UKC Registered Sires|
As of March 12, 2014, fifteen breeds will be eligible for litter registration when sired by a non-UKC registered sire. This new litter registration application will allow for litter registration of pups sired by a non-UKC registered sire provided a copy of the sire’s Proof of Registration from an acknowledged registry is included with the application. Submission of a complete 3-generation pedigree for the sire is encouraged, but not required.

The United Kennel Club announces that Single Registration for the American Pit Bull Terrier will re-open, effective July 15, 2013.
|Sole Signatory Registration is now mandatory|
As of April 15, 2013, the Sole Signatory Registration is mandatory, and a Sole Signatory is required for all litters and dogs registered to more than one individual. Any “and/or” partnerships established prior to April 15, 2013, will remain in effect and will continue to hold true for that dog until said dog’s UKC Registration Record is changed.
