Employment With UKC

United Kennel Club is seeking a motivated, knowledgeable and respected individual for the full time position of Hunting Programs Manager. The primary area of interest and experience must be that of a coonhound or Beagle competition hunting background. This is a very unique position in that applicants must be equally qualified in customer service/office skills and their knowledge of UKC hunting events. This position requires a person proficient in both written and oral communication. This position requires someone familiar with a variety of software programs and above average keying efficiency. This position also requires an advanced knowledge of the UKC rules, policies and procedures.

Job Description
Goal: To assist the UKC Field Operations Department in developing and maintaining various programs and taking those programs to the top of the industry based on a platform of quality and respect.

Responsibilities: Including but not limited to;
    o Club support
    o Evaluating and making recommendations regarding rules, policies and procedures
    o Educating customers regarding United Kennel Club and the UKC events
    o Promoting UKC events
    o Monitoring the UKC website to answer program related questions
    o Writing monthly column(s) for industry magazines
    o Writing feature articles and event recaps as necessary
    o Organization and administration of UKC administered events
    o Organization and administration of year end award programs
    o Representing UKC at major events on a pre-approved basis
    o Developing new programs for hunting dog enthusiasts
    o Resolution of complaints from events
    o Assist staff with general departmental calls
    Requirements: The Manager of Hunting Programs reports to the Senior Director of Hunting Programs. Major decisions affecting all programs must be approved by the Senior Director of Hunting Programs. The Manager of Hunting Programs is expected to ask for assistance when needed from the Field Operations Support Staff.

    Benefits: The Manager of Hunting Programs will be paid a salary the amount of which is negotiable along with the standard UKC Benefit Package offered to all full time employees.
