Bragging Rights

My nine-month-old Mountain Cur, Walnut Ridge Rebel Yell, went Best In Show under Joseph Gubry at the Crossroads Canine Club show on November 12, 2016. I think they may be a first for the breed. He also earned his Championship degree over the weekend. He is a hunting dog as well as a family pet, and trees both raccoon and squirrel. The win photo was taken by Images by Janice. The other I took while hunting him.

Paw Power Blues Dog Club of Lowell, Indiana, held the area's first Handler Discrimination trials in October of 2016, and I am proud to say that NHD MV MI MC SN Vom Grobersee's Demolition Man, aka "Finn", worked like a pro earning three 1st place ribbons, 3 High in Trials, a Novice Handler Discrimination title and a leg towards his Advanced Handler Discrimination title! SUPER DOG 127

UWP UCD URO2 UGRACH3 GRCH Wheatcroft's Lucky Shamrock SPOT

(URO1 CH Wheatcroft's Silverado x CH Morningstars Megan @ Wheatcroft)

Shetland Sheepdog

Owned by Kim Smith of Westville, Indiana

At the tender age of 2˝ years of age, UWP UCD URO2 UGRACH3 GRCH Wheatcroft's Lucky Shamrock SPOT attained Super Dog Status. He came into this world four days early. Guess he couldn't wait to see the world. Bred, owned, and handled by me.

This little dog has done everything I have asked of him, with gusto. He earned his Championship title at the age of 10 months. He earned his AG1 title just over one year of age. From there to date, he has earned Ag2, RO1, RO2, GRCH, UACH, UCD, SPOT, ACHX, and UGRACH. In October of 2016, we went for Weight Pull; did three trials to get his UWP title, then one more time to pull 396 pounds for his first five points.

Along the line, he has taken multiple group placements, a Reserve Best In Multi-Breed Show, several Total Dogs, and a High in Trial for Rally.

I am so honored to have this dog in my life, and can't wait to see what he wants to do next.
