Italian Greyhound, Pugs, and Brussels Griffons

How long have you been a UKC judge?
I have been a UKC judges for about 3 years.

Are you a breeder / how long have you been breeding dogs?
I’m a breeder of Italian Greyhounds, Brussels Griffons, Pugs, and Chihuahuas along with a variety of other breeds for about 40 years.

How long have you been involved with dogs? (Conformation/Performance)
I began showing dogs 40 years ago with Italian Greyhounds and have handled almost all the Toy and several Hound breeds.

In 100 words or less, how did you become involved with dogs? Conformation/Performance events)
In 1973, my partner, Chuck Scott, and myself began showing our Italian Greyhounds and spent nearly every weekend traveling to shows and specialties showing. We began handling for others and by 1985 I applied for my first AKC judging license. It took about 10 years to finish the Toy group and have since added the Hound group along with some Non-Sporting and Working Breeds. I enjoy judging and learning about different breeds.

In 100 words or less, what do you feel is your biggest accomplishment with your dog(s)? (Conformation/Performance events)
My accomplishments have come in judging around the world. I’ve had the privilege of judging in China, Russia, Africa, and Australia. Besides the judging it’s the great people that I have met along the way. My major achievements have been my judging some of the most esteem shows in the country including Westminster on 3 occasions and AKC Invitational on 2 occasions. But my most honored experience in dogs is my involvement with “Take The Lead” as a trustee for 18 years. It is a non-profit charity that helps the people in the sport of dogs that are in need.
