We Want your Input

Over the last months, we’ve heard of several new clubs that are holding Hunt Tests, and several new participants who are trying hunt tests for themselves. Many hunters have discovered the relaxed pace of the Hunt Tests are right up their alley. Even seasoned competition hunters are finding them to be the perfect way to gauge a dog on its own merits.
We have been hearing suggestions about the Hunt Test program and are trying to make improvements when necessary. We continuously try to make sure our programs are as up-to-date as possible. If you can think of any adjustments we could be making to help this program grow, feel free to let us know. We want your input.
We also want to know about the “added” things your club is doing for the Hunt Tests. Perhaps your club is having great success and could let us know what you’re doing right. Maybe it’s the food you’re selling, or the stories that are flowing, but we would be happy to hear about it.
Another great place to share information about the Hunt Tests is on our message boards at www.forums.ukcdogs.com. This is a great place to share information with other hunters and clubs who might need that extra edge it takes to get to the next level.
Last month we wrote about Pass Receipts being available soon for the Hunt Tests. We are happy to announce they have been up for a few weeks now and are catching on. If your club is putting on a Hunt Test, make sure you get these for your participants. All you have to do is print it off our website (http://res.ukcdogs.com/pdf/fo95fcb.pdf) and make copies, if necessary. This will ensure all your participants have a record of their pass, what club they were at, the date, and who their Inspector was. In the event the Hunt Test Report is lost in the mail, we can get copies of those Pass Receipts from the participants and record their passes.
We are still looking for Hunt Test-Imonials from individuals and clubs. This is a great way to show off your club or dog. You can mail or email a picture and brief testimonial and you could see it right here in COONHOUND BLOODLINES.
As always, if you have any questions or comments about the Hunt Tests, or any other of United Kennel Club’s Coonhound Programs, feel free to give our office a call. We will be glad to assist you and your club in any way possible!
