UKC All-Star Series
Effective January 1, 2013, beagle owners will have the opportunity to participate in a revised program within the Hunting Beagle format. This program will be called the UKC All-Star Series and will replace the UKC State Race Program in the Hunting Beagle format. This program allows for better promotion of those in the running and more prestige to the owners.

UKC registered beagles may earn All-Star Series points at any UKC Licensed Hunting Beagle Format Event. Additionally, bonus points are awarded to category winners. A hound may earn points in any state including WQE or Elimination style events. Points may be earned January 1st through December 31st of each calendar year.

Further information is provided as follows:

All-Star Points Awarded
Cast win = 10 points (must have total score of plus points)
Note: Points are awarded to first round cast winners only which include any Elimination Style events.
Bonus Points Awarded
Category win = 5 bonus points

Eligibility
Any UKC registered beagle is eligible to earn All-Star points at any UKC Licensed Beagle Event. There are two separate divisions – All-Age and Juniors. Dogs that are two years of age or older during the calendar year will compete in the All-Age division. Dogs that are less than two years of age on December 31st of the calendar year and were litter registered will compete in the Junior division. Dogs less than two years of age on December 31st of the calendar but were not litter registered will compete in the All-Age division.
Special Note: Effective January 1, 2015, only those dogs that are litter registered will be eligible to earn points in any one division of All-Age or Junior. Single registered dogs will not be eligible.

Regional Breakdown
The UKC All-Star Series is broke down in four regions across the United States. A hound may earn points in any region. The points they earn are recorded within the region they are registered in. Those states represented in each region were determined and based on the total number of club event dates as follows:

    1. Washington, Oregon, Iowa, Missouri and Arkansas (Western Region)
    2. Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio (Midwest Region)
    3. Kentucky and West Virginia (Mountain Region)
    4. New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina (Eastern Region)

Bonus Points Events
Certain major events, designated by the United Kennel Club, are considered Bonus Points Events. All points, including bonus points, are doubled at all Bonus Points Events.

New Owners
Any dog transferred (registered) to a new owner in a different region prior to May 1st of the calendar will retain any points earned and be applied to the new region. Any dog transferred to a new owner in a different region on or after May 1st will not retain points earned in the previous region. However, any points earned throughout the remainder of the calendar year will go towards the dog’s new region.

Recording Event Winners
Clubs will report the dog and owner information of their cast winners in all categories on a separate form included in their Event Packet. UKC will process any bonus points via the Hunt Report.

Regional Winners
The hound earning the most points at the end of the year will be considered a winner for its designated region. Those winners will be recognized and eligible for awards at the following years All-Star Series Awards Ceremony, held at the UKC Hunting Beagle Nationals.

Ties
In the event of a tie in the final standings of the All-Star Series, they will be broken as follows:
    1. The dog with the most category wins.
    2. The dog that earned points in the most different states.
    3. The dog with the most total (first round) cast win points scored.

UKC All-Star Series Standings
A list of the current standings of each region will be compiled and published each month in American Beagler and COONHOUND BLOODLINES magazines. Those standings will be based on all event hunt reports processed on the date of the update. Additionally, the standings will be posted on the UKC website along with any promotional content.

Barred Individuals
If the registrant of a UKC-registered beagle is barred or suspended from UKC, he/she shall be ineligible to participate in the All-Star Series for the entire period of the barring or suspension. All points earned by a dog owned or co-owned by a person who is barred or suspended during any calendar year shall be forfeited. In the event such a dog is sold to an owner or co-owner who is eligible to participate in this program, the dog will remain ineligible to earn points until January 1 of the year following the suspension or barring of the previous owner(s).

UKC All-Star Chase
A pre-determined number of All-Age and Junior hounds that earned the most points in each region of the All-Star Series at the end of the calendar are eligible to compete in the UKC All-Star Chase.
