The UHWVA Would like to thank all the participants, sponsors, judge Mr. Bob Olson, and Colonial Farms for making our second UKC point dog event a great success. The United Hangarian Wire-Haired Vizsla held its second UKC TAN test on Saturday May 8, 2010 at Colonial Farms Preserve in Chelsea, MI.
Judge Bob Olson of Indiana judged the event. A total of 14 dogs were entered, some from as far away as Virginia and Wisconsin. One was scratched for being in heat, leaving a total of 13 dogs to be judged. Entries included, nine Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizslas (one absent), one Epagneul Breton, two Weimaraners, and two German Shorthair Pointers. Of the 13 dogs who ran, all but two dogs passed.
Judging was followed by a great lunch, provided by Sandy and Dave Persyn, and the raffle drawing for the pheasant mobile, generously donated by Dick and Jean Schroeder. Despite the cool windy weather it was a day full of great conversation about the dogs, and the sport we all love.
