This week the 40th Annual Southeastern Treeing Walker Days in Salisbury, NC kicks off with a "Slam"! One of the larger events of the year, Southeastern draws hunters from all over the US and Canada.
On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights there will be "Warm-Up Slams" at some local clubs to get the hunters prepared for the main event on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Although the main hunt is pre-entry only, the Warm-Up Slams are available for anyone to enter on the grounds. The first Warm-Up Slam at Big Oak Coonhunters in Albemarle, NC on Monday, February 18 had 49 dogs hunt!
