KALAMAZOO, Mich., Oct., 17, 2011- UKC is pleased to welcome Maude Tank as the Director of Event Development for the newly expanded Dogs Events Department. She will also lead the new Event Advocate (EA) program.
Maude Tank has been involved in dogs since her early childhood and has lived in Michigan for her entire life. Along with being a UKC Obedience Judge and Senior Conformation Judge, she owns and exhibits Rat Terriers and American Bulldogs. She has obedience titles on two of her English Bulldogs, as well as a weight pull title.
For eight years, Maude was an obedience instructor at the Kalamazoo Dog Training Club. Her mother even served as a UKC Coonhound Judge.
Maude was an employee of Kalamazoo’s Parker Hannifin Corporation from which she recently retired, on October 7, 2011, after 27 years of service.
Maude’s position in the Event Advocate program, an extension of UKC in the field, will be to supervise a team of experienced UKC experts who will attend events around the country to help clubs develop effective methods for hosting events, extend the UKC culture and assist in the development of new clubs.
